Landon is a leader in youth voter engagement. After organizing in college, Landon led nonprofit student voter engagement in Michigan for 3 years, supporting more than 35 Michigan Colleges to provide their students with nonpartisan voter information. Michigan now leads the country in youth voter turnout.
In 2022, Landon ran for County Commission in Eaton County to represent his neighbors and put the county back on sound fiscal footing. Landon overperformed previous election results by more than 15 percentage points, losing by less than 150 votes. After the closest election in District 2 in modern history, Landon ran again in 2024 and was the only Democrat to be endorsed the the Eaton County Farm Bureau.
